The Polar Lands are located in the Arctic Circles, Antarctic Circles, Alaska and Some parts of Canada. This is a very cold place as the Polar Lands are around the North & South Poles, the only animals are Penguins and Polar Bears. The Polar Lands are very cold, so they are usually 0 degrees or less. The Polar Lands are some where that you wouldn't want to go to without lots of warm clothes and a massive supply of food. As in Antarctica there are many few times you ever get to go out hunting for food.
Polar Lands

Location
Polar Lands are a very cold place, usually being thought of as Antarctica or the North Pole "Where Santa is" but there are many other Polar Lands near Alaska or Canada. As those places are very cold aswell.
The only people that live in the Arctic or Antarctic areas are scientists who are exploring or researching the ice, the climate or animals. Polar Lands aren't only restricted to the North and South Poles though, Alaska can be a Polar Environment in certian parts, but is actually a Tundra environment overall. The Polar Lands are an interesting place to explore if you are wearing warm clothes. Certain parts of Greenland are Polar Environments as they are cold enough to be Polar Environments. The Northern parts of Canda can be Polar Environments aswell, there are many islands which are Polar Environments aswell!

Climate
The Climates in the Polar Lands are usually very cold, the lack of warm summers make it seem even worse!
In the summer, even though the Sun shines 24 hours its still very cold! In the winter, you will not see the sun, maybe just a small glimpse of the bright star. Tundra environments are similar to Polar Environments, except Tundra environments have at least a month of temperature averaged at something above 0°C unlike Polar Environments which are under or equal to 0°C.
So if you ever got to a Polar region, make sure to take lots of warm clothes!

The Central Alaskan Yup'ik People
A Nunivak Cup'ig man with raven maskette, Nunival Island, 1929.
The Yup'ik are a tribe of eskimoes. All over Alaska there are many tribes smiliar to this very one, but there are four of the same Yup'ik tribes. These tribes consist of living like eskimoes, so wearing furry clothes, living in igloos and speaking their own languages. You might have seen eskimoes in movies and in cartoons, but in real life they have their own language. There are many interesting things about the eskimoes as how do they survive in the cold polar lands? Just watching movies and cartoons should give you an idea, as you see them wearing massive furry coats all the time! I'm sure theres no way I could survive in the harsh cold polar region. There are many different names for the early tribes as they were split up, some went north, south, west or east. So the four tribes they have now used to be aproximatley 12 different groups. The origin of this tribe is quite normal, if not simple, as the tribe formed off of the eskimoes, as thats who their ancestors are.
Their diets consist of fish, as they seem to fish alot. Like normal eskimoes they live in Igloos, they are always wearing warm clothes as it is too cold to wear a "tank top". As Eskimoes usually live on ice, the tribes are most likely to be living on ice as well, so that means they live near water, but one of the main rules is don't jump in the water!
The animals around don't really seem to be a threat towards the eskimoes, as the penguins are quite harmless unless you try to attack them, the eskimoes are always avoiding the polar bears as they are the biggest threat, they could kill you instantly.
